“Baptism and the Gift of the Holy Ghost”
Why do we have so many lessons and talk so much of baptism if we all have already done it?
- Because most of us were baptized a long time ago!
- When we were baptized we made big covenants!
- Baptism is linked to repentance.
- To learn the symbolism of baptism.
How do we help others to find out for themselves that they are supposed to be baptized
- Create an atmosphere where they can learn this.
- Baptism is not a one time thing, it is constant.
Why are we baptized?
- "Baptism is a holy ordinance preparatory to the reception of the Holy Ghost; it is the channel and key by which the Holy Ghost will be administered. The Gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands, cannot be received through the medium of any other principle than the principle of righteousness.”
