Sunday Notes

Visiting Teaching Moment

The first verse of "I have work enough to do."

Everyone is busy but it is still important to share the message. You can do it in creative ways like getting together in group or you can make it a social event.

Good News

Danielle's family came to visit to watch her sibling play in the state volleyball Tournament, and they won!

Keiko got to take her children to see her Dad go through the Naturalization Ceremony to become an American citizen.

Mary got to go to the Ballet with her husband.

Tara was asked to apply for a job.

Sarah got her kitchen sink fixed.

Lesson # 21

This lesson was about the second coming and the millennium.

If we want to truly understand the millennium we need to pray about it. It is not an easy doctrine to understand.

We can see that signs are being fulfilled, but why is that important?

Becca Mock said "First of all it gives us a reason to prepare, and secondly it can be a reassurance to our faith."

Chelsea said "When Christ does come, he will point to the signs that were given when the wicked say that they didn't know."

What are the signs?

(Answered by several RS members)
-natural disasters
-Good shall be called bad and the bad shall be called good)
-False Christs and Teachers
-Wars and rumors of wars
-gospel must go to every country
-the restoration of the gospel
-Christ will Appear

Joseph Smith said that "the Son of Man is soon coming."

At the same time no one knows the exact time of his coming. When the time comes he will reveal it unto his prophets.

We hear often that he will come as a thief in the night, what does that mean?

(Answers given, again I am sorry of I didn't get your name, I couldn't see who was speaking very well from where I was sitting)

"We can be prepared and watch, but we will not know the exact time a thief will strike."

How can we prepare?

"Keep trying. WE won't be perfect when he comes, but we can continue to do our best."

Bethany said; " Moroni said that we will know him when he comes because we will be like him. Every day we need to continue to make the right choices."

Sarah: "We can repent of anything that we have held back and give our souls a make over."

"Be a missionary."

"It takes a lifetime and sometimes even generations to prepare.
